what spyware tool did you add? the obvious answer is: remove said software from system and replace missing files. if a program is removing wanted files in addition to unwanted files, obviously it is not a valid solution to your spyware problem.
The spyware software I installed was called spycatcher and it seemed like it had good reviews & was recommended by a friend so maybe it's just me that did something wrong with it.
That being said I have since removed it from my system and tried to reinstall the quickset program entirely and it still gave me the error message and so I tried plucking in the dll manualy and i'm still getting the same error and I really don't know how to get it resolved. It's not a big big deal because the quickset program does not do a whole lot but it was still nice to have and it's annoying to get that error message everyone the laptop boots.
Dear Chanty85, remove dell quick set at once, it is a keylogger that dell has admitted and geek squad has confirmed, i have a 6,000 dollar xps m1710 that hasnt worked since the day i got it, it is a useless program, the only thing it does is allows u to use keyboard shortcuts to turn on and off your wireless device, it has nothing to do with how your wireless works i promise u. also what they dont tell you unless u ask, not to mention we have documented irrefutable proof, that it is used to remotely access your computer from another computer, it has cost us more than you will ever know and please trust me i do not want you or anyone to go through what we are going thru due to this program. and also use webroot spysweeper 5.2 it is the best spyware out there. if you use zone alarm, spyware doctor, or just about any spyware protection or firewall protection prgrams, except trend micro, will tell you its a dangerous key logger, dell has removed all my posts bc im telling the truth and they dont want it to be known to the public. also google ripoffreport.com and check out the dell rip off section
No, Dell probably removed your posts because it is a bunch of bunk. As I said in your rant yesterday, QuickSet has been a part of the Dell software package for a long time on many systems. If it was a keylogger that sends out your credit card info and SS # (as you claimed) there would have been THOUSANDS of complaints on here before now.
I told you yesterday that if you are having spyware problems go to the HijackThis forum and post a log. One of the HJT experts will work with you to clear your system up. Simply ranting about it on here each day isn't going to fix anything.
Also, as I said yesterday, paragraphs are your friend. The period key is also your friend. Use both on a regular basis.
I see you've found the caps lock key but now your shift key seems to be missing in action. You've gone from one extreme to the other.
