Re-installing Window XP Media Center 2005 with CD

Hi everyone ^^ I decided to get linux in dual-boot mode with windows, but before the instalation, I want a 99.99% clean windows. So,

I want to re-instal windows with the c-d that Dell sent to me. But do I need to reformat my computer before? How can I do that? What option should I choose when I boot my computer with the CD? And I'll probaly need to download some drivers after the re-installation of Windows, where I can find those and how can I know what driver exactly I need?

(For your information, yes I have my data on an external hard disk, and I don't have the symantec thing to reset window without the cd, so useless to tell me to use that tool)

I have a Dimension 4700C desktop with Window XP Media Center 2005 Thanks for your help ^^

You format the drive by booting from the CD . . early in the process you will have the chance to delete, then recreate partitions, format and install.

This is a great guide for reinstalling on a Dell:  http://www.djdenham.com/Install%20Procedures.htm
This is a site that walks you thru a simulated XP installation:

These are good guides to reinstalling XP . . you might want to print one for reference during the install.

Thanks for your information ^^

But 2 months ago, my system crashed so I ask for a system restore from a computer repair shop but I just realize that I have 2 partition in my hard drive now. One for Window XP Media Center and one for Window XP Professional. -_-

So do I have to delete the second partition (Window XP Professional that I never use) before with a software or the installation from the C-D will do it?

Thanks for replies ^^

If you want it clean . . Boot from the Install CD . . delete all partitions, then create the one(s) you want for the new installation

I can'T connect to my internet connexion (wich is under a router) now that I reinstalled window (at least window re-installed)

The first time that I used my pc I connected without any problems...

I'm doing like I did the first time, I just entered the good information about my internet connexion but it looks like my comp don'T automaticly connect to my router cause it says
"Can'T connect to Mini-port something blablabla"

What can I do = (
