Create a new folder on your hard disk (called Fldr for example purposes). Then with your XP CD in the drive and substituting the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive for X enter:
expand x:\i386\arial.tt_ c:\fldr\arial.ttf and click .
In addition to
arial to get the rest of the arial font family repeat this with
arialbd.tt_, arialbi.tt_, ariali.tt_, and ariblk.tt_. Once the files are installed in Fldr you can open Windows\Fonts and install them from there. Note that there is a space between tt_ and c:\.
