Remove Google Desktop on toolbar

I received my new XPS 700 last week.  I've been loading software and updates.  I noticed on the toolbar at the bottom a Google search box and some language icons.  I click on the toolbar and deselect the option for Google Desktop and Language Bar which leaves me with only Quick Lanuch checked.  Each time I reboot the goggle Desktop and Language Bar are back.  Any idea of how to get these to gone for good.

Any help is appreciated,

Since what you have tried didn't work then these must be in startup somewhere. First look in control panel under add/remove programs and look to see if you can uninstall these from there. Might be under windows but I doubt it. If you cannot do it there select start>run and type msconfig and hit enter. Look under startup and the services and uncheck the box that loads these if you see it. Then apply and reboot. When you see the message that you are running a selective startup check the box to not show this message again. See if that does it for you.

I edited this post because it looks like I misunderstood your post after I read the post below mine. For some reason I thought you were getting this either in the systray or in the windows toolbar. So if you are getting this with IE running disregard this post and simply follow the post after mine here.

Within IE go to View>toolbars and uncheck the Google Toolbar.

You could also use this to remove them from the tool bar ..

Tools/ internet options / programs / manage addons

wait for a while while the list gets populated..

select the application that you do not want to get started..

Disable it from the option that is given at the bottom of the window..

This is a permanent solution to disable unwanted add ons..
