  If you want to give all files the same name (with numbers marked in the end of course), you can simply select all the files and press F2.

 If you want to remove or add some thing common in all files you can try any these i have found.

Highlight all the files in question and rename starting with the first one (while all still highlighted).  The files will now have the new name with a numeric suffix.
