SP1 install fails on Optiplex 380
I have an Optiplex 380 that came with Windows 7 Pro 32 bit. I have been trying to update to SP1 for a week without success. I got all but one recommeded update and SP1 to install. I have run the windows readiness program, performed the Windows Update troubleshooter, and tried a few other solutions I found online but none have worked. Any help would be appreciated.
My last attempt was turning off the firewall and running the install offline as administrator and it failed just the same as it did through Windows update.

I would recommend clean install of Windows using media that contains SP1 and the media refresh update:

Install without a product key and use the ABR program to activate using the Dell OEM activation:

See A Clean Install of Windows for more details:

Otherwise use the standalone update:

However uninstall McAfee and run the removal tool first:

It may also help to uninstall the Realtek Audio Drivers and NVIDIA Video Drivers before the update. Uninstall in add/remove a program and also via the device manager. Sometimes drivers in SP1 will conflict with installed drivers.
