Hi angelico,

Thank you for writing back with the requested information. Download the audio driver from the following website by clicking on “Download File”:

http://dell.to/R5bKgH

Please un-install the current audio driver before installing the new driver.

Let us know if you have received an Audio Software CD along with the computer?

Do write back with your findings.

Hi angelico,

Thank you for the detailed information provided.

SRS Premium Sound may stop if the service is set to the Manual option. Request you to follow the steps provided below to change the service to start automatically:

1. Click on Start, enter services.msc  in the search box and press Enter to open the Services window.

2. Click on the Standard tab.

3. Locate the ‘SRSHAudioService’ service.

4. Right click on the service and click on ‘Properties’.

5. In the Startup type dropdown list, select ‘Automatic’. Start the service if it has stopped.

6. Click ‘Apply’ and then click ‘OK’.

7. Restart the computer and check if SRS Premium sound works properly.

You can use the Master Volume control to set the volume level for all the other devices connected. It can be located by clicking on the speaker icon on the right bottom corner of the screen.

I would also recommend you to uninstall and re-install the sound drivers.

I hope this works.  In case if you need further assistance, please reply to this message with the system model number (For Ex. Studio XPS 16).

Can you atleast tell me of which software package (driver package) is that ‘SRSHAudioService’ service part of?

It works.

I deinstalled the drivers and installed the R306067 driver recommended (driver based on Realtek driver version R2.61).

I still do not have service mentioned (SRSHAudioService), however SRS sound once turned on, stays on.

I checked, and think the problem was that I used the latest Realtek drivers downloaded from their website (ver R2.70).

(just in case someone comes up with the same issue)

Thank you very much for your help. Issue solved.

Hi angelico,

I am glad to know that the issue is fixed and appreciate your effort. SRSHAudioService would be visible when the SRS software is installed. However, as this option is included in the driver, the service may not be visible in services.msc.
