Safely remove hardware - Memory stick light still on
Hi,
I am using Dell XPS M1530. It has windows vista. I am facing a strange problem. When I want to remove my memory stick from the USB port, I press 'Safely Remove Hardware'. It shows that it is safe to remove hardware now but the indicator light on the Memory stick does not goes off. This is not the case when I use it in my other laptop with windows XP. There the indicator light goes off completely.
Can somebody please tell me is this the problem with vista? Is it really safe to pull out the memory stick from the USB port with indicator lights still ON. What is the solution to this problem.
Please help!

For better responses, this should have been posted in the Vista section since the issue is pertaining to Vista.
However, what you described is how it works in Vista (the light doesn't go off), and it is safe to remove.
