Script Error Line: 639, Error: Invalid Argument ---I can not print anything from IE 6!!!

Can anyone help??

Out of the blue for the last 2 months or so I have not been able to print ANYTHING from IE 6 --no web pages, no email.  I can cut and paste to wordpad, etc (or boot my kids off their pc/printer: smileywink:).  When I try to print or "print-preview" I get the following error:

Error Occured in Script on Page
Line: 639
Char: 1
Error: Invalid Argument
Code: 0
URL: res://c\\windows\system32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg
Do You Want to Continue Running Scripts on this Page? ---whether you answer "yes" or "no" it doesnt matter because you can not print!!

I uninstalled and reinstalled my printer thinking it was that but researching this all over windows website i've found it has something to do with the "iepeers.dll" file ---whatever that is ---i'm at my witts end!

Anything anyone can offer would be appreciated!!
Cher

Hello Cher :smileyhappy:

Try this

Start/Run  and type in the box

Regsvr32.exe C:\Windows\System32\Ole32.dll

OK

Try the same again, but replace
Ole32.dll
with
iepeers.dll
If it does not work it might be that the file is corrupted

Okay, now it says, "LoadLibrary (C:\windows\system32\iepeers.dll) failed.  The specified module could not be found"

What do i do now?   Put a call into Microsoft support??--

Thank you again!!

Go to the site below and download iepeers.dll
Click on I03 on the right hand side, and scroll down on the left to find it

Put it in C:\windows\system32

Then do again
Regsvr32.exe C:\Windows\System32\iepeers.dll

Hi,

Re-regestering "iepeers.dll worked for my setup and fixed the same type problem with script error 639.  Thank you!

START -->  RUN -->   "Regsvr32.exe C:\Windows\System32\iepeers.dll"

I have tried everything on the posting trail and now I can print attachments but not the page I am viewing.  The error I get is the same but the line number is 1334 instead of 639.  Here is the error:
Internet Explorer Script Error
Line 1334
Char 1
Error: invalid argument
Code 0
URL res//c\windows\system32\shdocic.dll\preview.dlg

It then asks if I want to continue running scripts on the page and it does not matter what I say it continues to check.  What do I try now?  I also have IE 6 but have not tried to re-install the driver on the printer.

I don`t know what else to suggest here.
The only thing I can think of is to turn off Script Debugging and see if that helps.

In Internet Explorer
Choose Options from the Tools menu and click on the Advanced tab.
Scroll to the Browsing section.
Put a check next to the "Disable script debugging" entry.
You will no longer receive the warning

Have you tried highlighting the text you want to copy and then press Print/"Selection"
