Which version NAV are you running?  Older versions do not support Security Center without a patch through LiveUpdate.

go to control panel, security center applet.

If it does not recognise the AV, Help and support gives the following instructions:

"To specify that you are using an antivirus program that Windows does not find:

In the Security Center, under Virus Protection, click Recommendations.

In the Recommendations dialog box, select the 'I have antivirus software that I'll monitor myself' check box, and then click OK. "

Note that the Recommendations button is not available when your Virus Protection setting is marked ON, which means that security center has recognised your AV. But if security center still gives a warning because it can't determine its status you can click on 'change the way security center alerts me' and clear the check box for AV, click OK. Only do that if you are quite sure your AV is working and up to date.

Thank you for your message. I'm running NAV 2004. The entire system has worked fine for months. But this new "warning" just started this week. For some reason, Windows Security can no longer "see" that NAV is running.
