Select operating system to start

Question

I have been encountering a little discomfort in starting up my Vostro 1510. It keeps asking me to select which operating system I want to start my computer. The options it gives are 1. Microsoft XP professional                                             2. Microsoft windows professional setup. And it keep defaulting to the second option which does not work. How can I cause it to use just option one?
