Setup cannot find C\Windows\COMMAND.COM. Setup cannot continue.

Question

Hi,   I have just taken delivery of a new Dell Inspiron 1501 with visa installed.   I've succesfully installed Microsoft Office but when I try to install QuickBooks accountant 2005 I get the message shown above.   I've looked on their web site but this is not amoungst the known problems listed.   Does anyone know what the cause might be?   Is there a UK forum? If there is I couldn't find it!   Many thanks.

You cannot use Quickbook 2005 with Vista. You have to upgrade to 2007 version. The older version is not compatible.

Many thanks for your input Mary.   According to QuickBooks web site 2004,2005 & 2006 all run with Vista but with reduced functionability and that they are working on patches to resolve the situation.
