Sims 2 and SP2 Incompatibility
After spending $50 of Christmas $, my 13 year old daughter could not install Sims 2 game. EA Games informed us SP2 is the problem. We can't return the game because the package was opened. Am I the only person who has SP2 and Sims 2? Thanks for help. Murphy Family

How much stuff is currently installed on your PC? Is reinstalling Windows from scratch an option you would consider? That's really the only way to be certain.
Have you asked EA if they have a solution, since they claim that SP2 is conflicting with the install? With SP2 being pre-installed on PC's now, I can't imagine any software company would have software unable to be installed on it. If SP2 were the issue, there would need to be a large number of people encountering this issue. I know I'm running SP2 with the Sims2 though, so something seems off in that excuse by EA.
BTW: Just out of curiosity, is SP2 running on your husband's laptop?
