Sleep mode failure

Question

I have Vista Ultimate programed to go to sleep when I close the lid. It was working perfect till today. I decided to listen to some music using Windows Media player. I wound up have to go through setup when it started. But it played fine. But now when I close the lid, the lights and computer stays on. I tried to change it to Do Nothing, then rebooted. changed it back to Go To Sleep and saved. But it still fails. An idea's?

Found the solution. So I thought I would share it.

Start>Control panel>system Maintenance>Power options>Change plan settings>Change advance power settings>Multimedia settings>When sharing media

Switch them to Allow computer to sleep. That seemed to work perfect.

ok i think i am having the same problem. worked fine till recently. tried to reinstall the quickset no luck. i have blutooth and wifi that are always on. close lid stays on when supposed to sleep. open lid then goes to sleep. i dont  understand how to get to the setting that i switch. i am in power option and i see nothing that says Change advance power settings>Multimedia settings>When sharing media. i also did not  have a system Maintenance button just a power options button. i have vista 32bit home premium.
