Software KEY
I had a DEll 4100 the case is long gone and I didn't write the OEM Win2000 pro Software key or the service tag info down -I purchased a XP pro upgrade package from amazon, The question I have is Doing the upgrade will I need the winpro product key to complete the install or will the xp-pro upgrade package allow me to do a clean install on a New HD?
I looked on the dell my account page and it list all my dell computers going back to the dell 4200 I still use- I can not find any info for my old dell 4100. I contacted MS since the software I have was purchased from Dell the handed me off to dell very fast.

When I run upgrade from XP will it ask for my win2000 Software key?

I got my system upgraded and everything went well-Thanks for the suggestions - I have another issue on my studio 1558 laptop posted in the correct forum.
