I try to get XP running on my  Studio 1535 for two weeks now.

Actually I'm missing the drivers for following  devices:

Sound Card (required for HDMI output / play Blu-Ray discs)

Bluetooth 370

Wireless card 1510

@Alchemikaz: Can you help me out with Bluetooth /Wireless driver?

Maybe we can collect all required drivers in this thread. There are a lot of Studio buyers who want to remove the lausy Vista OS.

Vista reduced the performance of my Studio 15 (2,1GHz, 3GB RAM, Blu-Ray) to my 3 year old discounter Laptop with self installed XP professional.

I need you permission to get the driver from keepandshare. Can you please release it for me (and all Studio buyers:smileyhappy:).

Do you have the Dell Bluetooth 370 card? Dell has different cards available.

Regards

Bluetooth driver seems to be accepted, but I think there must  be an application for the use of bluetooth.

What software do you use to connect your bluetooth devices?

Your wireless driver is from the vostro line. I cannot install it, I get error code 10 (device cannot be started)from the wlan card.

This seems to be a mobile broadband driver, no chance to install. I'm thinking of buying an Intel card to replace the renitent Broadcom 1510. I heard in different forums that Intel has better performance than Broadcom and a better support.

@Alchemikaz: What Type of WLAN card is in your Studio?

Try again manualy install that driver. My card is "Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN Mini-Card" as Everst says

Have a look at this forum:

I think that wireless card 1510 is a case for ebay for all xp users. I will buy an Intel card next week.

Then I have to start Vista only for playing a Bluray.

Has anybody news for the sound driver?

Just ordered a new Studio 1535 and would like to know if its now SAFE to downgrade to XP w/o any problems.  For instance, is Dell's driver downloads site a reliable source if I need XP drivers although the drivers are all listed as Vista drivers?  My Studio 15 has the following:

:smileyindifferent:

-Intel Core 2 Duo T5850, 2.16GHz, 667Mhz, 2M L2 Cache

-Back-lit Keyboard

-ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 3450

-Dell Wireless 1397 802.11g Half Mini Card

-Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy Advanced HD Software Edition

-320G 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive

-Finger Print Reader

-Integrated 2.0M Pixel Webcam

Thanks for the heads up...

Hi guys,

I also have Dell Studio 1535 laptop, and like to put Windows XP instead of Vista. I mailed the customer service last week about the drivers that I am looking for windows xp for my laptop and here is their reply.

"You said that your laptop is Dell Studio 15. Yes it is the same as Dell Inspiron 1525. Dell started producing Studio laptops which starts at Studio 1535. Dell Inspiron is at "end of life" series. The support link that i sent out to you is where you can download the complete drivers for your system."

I haven't tried installing it yet coz I'm still searching for others who have managed to install Windows XP to Studio 1535.
