Symantec system restore gone

Hi,

I recently reinstalled my system (completely with the CD and not with the system restore 'ctrl + F11' since I had some critical problems with the startup) and installed all drivers except the Intel Accelerator one, this one couldn't be installed for some reason :S. Anywho, I can no longer use the ctrl+F11 command at the Dell intro screen, can anyone help me to get this back?

The Dell PC Restore feature becomes disabled during the process of installing an operating system or anything else that writes to the MBR, but Dan Goodell provides a comprehensive tutorial on the feature with tools and instructions for fixing.

Thanks for the reply!

I couldn't cut any corners on this one, I actually had dig deeper than many other with similar problem. I got the restore function back, but it didn't restore the files although it said it did, but after a few hours of thinkning I got everything to work again.
