System Configuration Utility - MSCONFIG

Question

1.     When I am in the General Tab of the System Configuration Utility, what are the proper settings for Startup Selection?  Normal, Diagnostic or Selective?  How do these 3 settings differ?  If Selective is the proper setting, which of the 5 boxes within Selective should be checked? 2.     When I am in the Start-Up Tab, how can I identify the programs can I disable at start up?  I know some are absolutely needed and should not be disabled?  What about the others? 3.     If I accidentally disable a program at start up and turn off the computer, can I then bring up the machine, go back the the System Configuration Utility and enable the program?  Or, am I going to have big time problems? Thanks for any help or guidance. QV1
