Task Scheduler Service
When starting up my computer a dialogue box appears:
"Some tasks did not execute at their scheduled time because Task Scheduler Service was not running. You can view list of missed tasks, and attempt to run them again, from the Scheduled Tasks Folder."
I went to >Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Scheduled Tasks where I found my scheduled tasks. I also went to Task Manager where there were several tasks listed under Processes but didn't know if I should click End Process for any item.
What should I do to eliminate the dialogue box from appearing?

Open Scheduled Tasks (Start|Control Panel|Scheduled Tasks). Right-click on each task and select Properties. On the Schedule tab you can set the task to run at a time when you know the computer will be on. Alternatively you can go to the Settings tab and select "Wake the computer to run this task."

Denny,
I did what you said but still have the message appear on startup. I also spoke to Dell Support on the phone and was told to >Start >Run >msconfig >OK and choose Selective Startup and unclick Load Startup Items then >Apply >Close >Restart. This eliminated the messsage the next time the computer was started up, but then it comes up thereafter.

I am not sure if you have already done so but under the scheduled tasks window there is an advanced tab. Please uncheck "notify of missed tasks". That should take care of your message.

Linda,
Thank you. Denny Denham had also told me that in an e-mail, and it did resolve the problem.
