Time synchronization problem

Question

I cannot execute time synchronization, and the error message is 'An error occurred getting the status of the last synchronization.  The RPC server is unavailable.'   Steps: 1. Click the clock (right buttom corner) 2. Select the tab page 'Internet time' 3. fill in the server name: time.windows.com 4. Press 'update now' button   I am using Inspiron 630m.   Thanks

oldtraveler, Thanks for your information.  I didn't register the service w32tm.exe.  To register this service by the command 'w32tm /register'. Then follow your information.  It works now.
