Internet Exploror's File menu selection called "Import and Export...", that would seem the best way.

As I noted, I have tried that but it requires importing each bookmark seperately. With hundreds of bookmarks, it would take hours. Isn't there an easier way?

I dont have the two machines hooked up and thus can't transfer from one to the other. I copied the bookmarks from the old machine and put them on a disc and transferred them to my new hard drive. Question is: Where do I put them?

That's simply incorrect. If you open IE on the older machine and go to File|Import and Export|Export Favorites you will be taken to a window which asks you to select a folder to export favorites from. If you select the "Favorites" folder, the program will export all your favorites to a file (bookmark.htm) in a folder of your choosing. On the new machine, go to File|Import and Export|Import Favorites and point the import facility at the bookmark.htm file you created on the old machine and your favorites will all be imported.

DerekFlint,

I've used Export - Import hundreds of times to transfer or backup bookmarks (or Favorites as they are called in Internet Explorer - do you use IE at all?), and it works exactly as Denny said. They are all exported at once to a file the location of which you can specify (usually called bookmark.htm). This takes about 5 seconds. You tranfer this file to your new computer (if it is on CD, then copy it to the desktop of your new computer and check that it is not "read-only" and therefore not usable), open IE, choose File - Import and Export - Import Favorites and specify the location of the file (desktop)

It works, believe me!
