Trouble adding *.VOB files in MyDVD LE 6.x
Trouble adding *.VOB files in MyDVD LE 6.x
Win XP (SP 2)
Hi, I am having trouble adding *.VOB files. I click add files. It brings up the Add Movie Files to Menu. I highlight the Video_TS.VOB file click open and the progam does nothing. I have the Files of typeset to All Video Formats and I also tried setting it to DVD Video formats (*. vob) and that did not help. It will burn Direct to disc and data disc. It worked a few weeks ago but not now. I also tried a different file. That did not work.
This software came installed on the computer when I bought it. I do not have any disks to try to reinstall the program.
I tried Dell online and phone support to get the discs and I think they sent me to a department where I have to buy the program. Is that my only option???
Or any other suggestions???
Thanks for the help,
imbame

Hello imbame - I had a similar problem, and in researching it, came upon your message. I hoped the problem was a mistake on my part, not a flaw in the software/install. I could copy DVDs with MyDVD LE, but I wanted to burn downloaded DVDs. So, Iike you, I tried the Add Files option, but it wouldn't accept or import any files (*.vob) or folders (VIDEO_TS). After searching the forums further, I suspected this is because the MyDVD LE project is meant to author a DVD, but the VIDEO_TS/*.vob structure and format I downloaded already is a DVD. So, I burned the VIDEO_TS folder and contents as a data disc, and it plays fine on my computer and in my DVD players connected to TVs.
Hope this helps,
DH
