Trouble installing xp-plus
Hello, I have xp home. I tried to install xp-plus and got an error. "Error 1904. Module C:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\microsoft plus!\pluswiz.dll failed to register. HRESULT-2147221164. Contact your support personnel."
Does anyone have any idea what this all means? Can anyone help get this installed? thank you.

See the first response to an identical issue here. "Call Microsoft" appears to be the most frequently recommended course of action in this instance. There are a few reports of success with logging in as Administrator and installing from there as well, but not enough to make it a likely solution.
You might also try going to Start - Run, and typing regsvr32 pluswiz.dll and then press Enter, then re-attempt installation.

I have posted an intricate method of which to use a command prompt to initialize this but someone else responded indicating that it would be easier to use the "run" dialogue box. That's what I will use for simplicity sake.
1. Open up the "run" dialogue box by clicking on "Start" then "Run" from the menu.
2. Paste or type the following command before installing MS Plus for XP. Capitalization is not necessary and used only for readability:
3. Run the MS Plus installation and enjoy. Email me at looneyxiong@hotmail.com if you run into other complications.
