Hi Robbo90,

Welcome to Dell Community Forum.

I believe you are using Dell XPS L502X or a XPS L501X as both have USB 3.0 ports on them.  If you are using a XPS 15z this option (USB 3.0) is not available.

Please check which version of USB 3.0 driver is currently installed on the system.

Click on Start >> type “Device Manager” in Search Field >> Click on Device Manager.

Under Universal Serial Bus Controllers >> Right click on Renesas USB controller and Select Properties >> Click on Driver tab

Check the Driver version displayed.

If the version is below is NOT 2.1.28.1, please click on the below weblink to download the latest version 2.1.28.1 by Intel.

Note: Before you install the above mentioned driver, make sure you Uninstall the existing version of USB 3.0 driver from Device Manager.

Under Universal Serial Bus Controllers >> Right click on Renesas USB controller and Select Uninstall.

downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx*&DownloadType=Drivers%20

Please Click on Download >> Accept the Licence Term >> Download will Automatically Start >> Save the file first, when the installation wizard comes up, follow the On-screen instruction to complete the installation.

Let me know if you require further help.

Thank you

Hi, I'm facing the same issue with the usb3.0, the Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller is always with the exclamation mark, even using the driver you mentioned, do you have some other recommendation? my system is a XPS L321X. Thanks
