Hello Grammy56,

Please try the suggestions mentioned in this article (Under Table of Content, Click the error code 0x000000ED and the steps mentioned under Point # 3, Things to Check). 

As Ieee488 has suggested, please run the PSA Diagnosticsas it could be a faulty hard drive. You may also refer to this video on how to run the PSA Diagnostics: http://dell.to/18woC5M.
