Upgrade to XP from windows 2000 using OEM media?

I have a client who purchased Dell Dimension 4400's with Xp on them (OEM) a few years ago, and for some reason used Partition Magic to hide the XP partition and installed windows 2000 pro on another partition. Now I have to upgrade the machines to XP (to install accounting software). I would like to upgrade the Win2K install to preserve all of their software and settings, but is that even possible with the XP OEM media and the license that came with the PC's? My other option would be to re-enable the XP partition and run the file and settings transfer wizard, but then I'll have to make sure all of their software is installed on the XP partition.

License wise, one cannot upgrade using any OEM license.  Media wise, it may be a different story.

Well that answers my question, it was more about the licensing. Upgrade would be out of the question, since new licenses would have to be purchased.
