Users folder file problem

I am using a Dell Optiplex 780 with Windows 7 Pro installed on it. A while ago, I created a folder named DAVE in my C\Users\ folder. The C\Users\  also has folder named MAIN which is my Administrator User Account. Finally, there are 2 additional folders within the C\Users\.

I have tried to rename my DAVE folder, but the Rename option is unavailable. I tried to copy all the contents of DAVE to another folder. But the "ntuser.dat" file wouldn't copy. And then I tried to delete my DAVE folder, but the "ntuser.dat" file which can not be deleted. I also found out that every time I work with my DAVE folder, it mentions the MAIN folder.

My knowledge of "ownership" and "permission" rules is minimal at best. Do I have to modify either the ownership or permission status of my DAVE folder in order to either rename it or delete it. If so, how do I do this?

Many thanks!
