Using the Search option to locate picture files!

Whenever I go to the "Search" field from the "Start" menu and tell it to look for picture files with .jpg   I naturally get a lot of results of all the pictures on my system. The problem is that some if not all the images seem to be listed twice and when I hover the mouse arrow over them to reveal their location on the drive they are all coming up as being in the same folder!! When I exit the search field and navigate to that folder I see no duplicates there!!!

Whats going on? Anybody know?
