Most of those are poppycock, with a lure to scan your system and magically tell you that it has found drivers. Hmmmm. after the free scan, did you really expect it to say ... " Nah.. no newer drivers were found " ???

Save your money and find your drivers yourself..  There's nobody better than you to know your computer and  its' operation, and know what you require for it. You can easily know your computers specs, and search & locate your drivers.

Why give money to those poppycock companies when you can easily find this info yourselves ?

( I'm typing this with a smile.. not meant as derogatory remark..)  Save your money !!!!:smileywink:

Since Vista is so new, I'd stay away from third party driver sites. Stick with the manufacturer's own web site for Vista drivers. As with any new operating system, it takes time for everyone to get up to speed with drivers. Dell is slow with drivers since they test the drivers before posting on their site. You might have to use beta drivers on some hardware such as Creative sound cards. HP didn't have scanner drivers for Vista until just a couple of weeks ago. You have to keep checking back often for updates.

Yeh this site seems to work ok although I personally prefer Driver Detective which you can get from http://www.drivershq.com/Home.aspx Both of these programs are free to scan to see if your drivers are up to date but will require a payment to use them to download the drivers. I paid for Driver Detective several years ago and it has fixed so many issues on various systems both mine and those of friends that I consider it a very reasonable purchase.

Is not just because you will save money, also, because you will learn how to be updated without those "magical" programs, You can check the website for the vendors of your Hardware, and install updated drivers... And for FREE... Instead of be paying for no reason.

If drivers are not causing any problems, leave them alone.

Use the Support Tools section to the left side of this forum to find drivers for your Dell hardware, If they are not marked "Urgent" or "Critical" ignore them if you have no issues.

If you have added hardware that is not Dell, then go to the manufacturers website to see if any are available, and read the release notes to see if there is valid reason to update.

If It ain't broke don't fix it.

Hi - I am just wondering how you are finding the ATI Radeon X1300 Pro 256MB. I just ordered one to replace my NIVIDA 5200 and wondering if I made a good purchase.
