Video error after install SP2

Question

I install Windows XP Pro on my OptiPlex GX50, and all is OK, but when i install SP2 and reboot, then the screen is only at... 4 BITS OF COLORS!!!  (16 colors :smileysad:), and its impossible to change that resolution.   Please, do you know why? How can i solve that?   Thanks.

Did you try reinstalling your video card drivers?  That would be the first step.

Yes, i tried, but unfortunately that not solve the problem. My screen is still at 16 colors (4bits) :smileysad: and there is no option to change that.

Reinstall your Video Drivers in Safe Mode You will need the specific ones for whatever brand of Video Card you are using in the PC

How old the machine? I would do a system restore back to the point before upgrading to SP2... then at that point uninstall/reinstall the video Drivers... then do the SP2 upgrade.

I don't understand this stupid problem, i'm desperated ! :smileymad:
