Vista looses connection

Hi! I need help with Vista Ultimate. Sometimes I work from home. I connect through windows terminal services. It looses connection every 5-10 minutes. I have my old system with windows XP and it works fine. Is there any settings that I have to change in order to keep connection open?

Don't rule out a problem on the other end.

Are you using remote desktop?

No, it is SSL VPN connection. I think it could be some settings in Vista that I have to tweak. The exact behavior: I connect from home to my work workstation(XP). Everything is OK but slower then in XP. Then I switch to my local desktop and then back to the terminal window. I get no connection message right away. Then I have to logout and then login again. Can anybody help. I tried to ask guys in our help desk guys. I was given an answer to stay away from Vista at least until October.
