Vista to Windows XP Service Pack 2 Vostro 1400
I have a Vostro 1400 with Vista. A friend gave it to me because my Vostro 1400 with Windows XP got stolen.
I want to replace Vista with Windows XP. I have the Reinstallation CD, and the DRivers and Utilities CD.
Can I, and if so how do I, Make Windows XP my OS?

Windows XP is obsolete (it reached end of life in April 2014). Windows Vista is also becoming obsolete (no IE10/11, Office 2013 support and no digital distribution or drivers for new hardware).
I recommend installing Windows 10 Technical Preview and using it until Windows 10 RTM is released:
