Hi,

I also bought Vistro 1500 with Vista OS, Now i am not able to partition my HDD and can't able to install CD.

I am also facing the same problem i am getting "hard disk is not found". like

Hello ,  i recently bought a DELL VOSTRO 1500 but it had Windows Vista instaled, I want to chance the OS to windows xp but i need the drivers, i don't understand why DELL didn't considered in offering the drivers for win.xp.

I found the XP drivers in the down load section:

These 1500 XP drivers are indeed available online here:

I down loaded all the 32 drivers from the above link, but i am not able to use them.

Can you please suggest me how can i use the down loaded drivers to make a bootable CD with make partition for my HDD and I want to see C:\.  If I get the C:\ then I can install XP putting the existing CD with me.

Thanks
Subba

You wont be able to install XP unless you add your SATA driver to your XP installation disk. You can use nLite or something to do this (or use floppy). However, there is another way to do this: go to BIOS and change HDD to ATA. This worked for me and I think will work for you as well.
Good luck!
