I don't know if this will work, but she could try opening WMP, then click the "minimize" button on the top right of the screen.(it is the one 2 steps left of the red X.)

(P.S. she should be playing a song on WMP, and the "Now Playing" tab is active while minimizing))

See if it tells her she can put the Media Player in the taskbar.

Check to see if Windows Media Player appears in the toolbar options.

Strange thing.I always had the option of having a mini-player in the taskbar.

In help, look up Mini player Tool for complete directions. It's a Toolbar choice accessed by right clicking on the toolbar and choosing Toolbars, WMP toolbars

Shebe,

Have your mother take a look at this. It may help.

Just some added info. (Ilove those viewlets!!!:) )

1. Right click the taskbar (tell her it's that bar at the bottom of the screen, between the Start Button and the clock)

2. In the list, "toolbars should" be on top, under it is "Cascade Windows", "tile windows horizontally" etc. Have her click on "toolbars" and another little window should open.

Below I put a pic, have her choose and check "Windows Media Player" .

If that choice is not available, I do not know what else to do.

I guess more research would be needed.

Thanks everyone,

My Mom's taskbar does not list Windows Media Player in the Toolbar area which just boggles the mind.

I'll have her try loading the player then minimizing it then check the toolbar again. Any other thoughts would be appreciated...
