WZC - Wireless Zero Configuration help (viewing available wireless networks)??

Hello all -
Not sure if I'm in the right forum.  My father recently purchased an Inspiron E1505 with the Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN mini card.  He just started getting the following error message when trying to view any available wireless networks in my area.

"Windows cannot configure this wireless configuration."
"If you have enabled another program to manage this wireless connection, use that software. "
"If you want Windows to configure this wireless connection, start the Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) service."

I was able to track down some help doing a Google search on how to manually start this WZC service and he's able to connect to my network now.  The problem is  - he now needs to manually start up this service each time he turns on his computer in order to view/search for any available wireless networks.  Has anyone had or seen this message before and is there a way to avoid this so that he does not have to start this service each time he turns on his computer?  Could this be a windows configuration issue, or is it something with the Dell NIC card he has?  I have a Dell XPS computer with the Intel NIC card and I have no problems with viewing any wireless networks in my area.  Any help/advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Sam

Sam,

Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services - Wireless Zero Configuration. Double click on WZC and change the startup type to automatic.
