What version of java on my computer?

Hi
How do I find what java version my computer has running? Where do I look? Thanks

Open a cmd window by clicking on Start -> Run and typing in cmd. Click OK. In the cmd window, type jview [enter]. To close the cmd window, type in exit.

ddeerrff's answer will provide a result only if you have Microsoft Virtual Machine installed on your system. If you have not installed Java it is entirely possible that you may not have any Virtual Machine on your computer. If you have installed Sun's Java you will be able to see its version in (among other places) Add/Remove Programs where it will be listed as Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_**.
