Where is the Vista Forum?

Have not been on the forums for a few weeks and find everything is changed. Did not see any anouncement about these changes being implemented.

So where is the Vista forum? It appears that there is no longer a specific forum for Vista and you have to wade through all other topics in this forum.

This appears to be a retrograde step.

It seems these changes to the forums coincide with the election of Obama  as the next president.  Dell has decided to get ahead, by implementing Social Reforms to the forum.  Its one step away from communism.   Lennin once said, "I will socialize the Dell forums"

This is why all the previous catagories are now one big melting pot.................its only the beginnng. Soon will be redistribution of wealth, and then secret use of your web cam and microphone, so that all you do and say will be recorded.

Its also the reason you cant find anything...history is being erased and re written.

America, fight back.  Demand change...change back to old way, the good way, and the  American way !

peterwt,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

The vista board has been merged into the OS boards along with all other Microsoft OS's.

To paraphrase an old tv commercial that some of you youngsters won't understand.

WHERE IS THE VISTA FORUM?    You're soaking in it!

And to jacq???? whatever, I always laugh when people pick on the Democrats and say, "They'll take your money and redistribute it," blah blah.  Hey, we could treat this forum like the republicans would treat it.  Only let the top 4 or 5% of the people read it and learn and hope it trickles down to the rest of us.

Sorry, but no matter how much I try, I cannot like the new forum layout.

Please, please bring back the old one.[:'(]

Agreed, this may look slightly better but is not as user friendly as the old forum.

Scott784,

I think we all agree that the new DCF is not as user friendly as the old.  Its illogical structure needs some major changes.  Some recommended changes have already been integrated into the new system, so those in charge are listening to our comments.

I myself have voiced my displeasure at the XP and Vista boards being combined.  Hopefully, access to the forum database will make it possible to once again separate XP and Vista as separate boards.  With Windows 7 due out in 7 months or so, we need to have separate boards for 9x, XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Please continue to voice your opinions on the structure of this new board.

Tony

I say dito to the above comments!  I used to participate quite a bit in these forums when Vista was first launched.  I have been off the Dell site for a while.  However, I have to agree....the new format to this forum is not user friendly like it used to be.  It makes one wonder whose brain storm it was to change up everything!

Agree.

Eventhough I do not participate a lot in the forum because my knowleged in computers is limited, and English is my second lenguage. this was a place were I could read and learned. Now everything is mixed up and I have to surf back and forward to find any subjet. The Tags are confusing, and they do not have any replays. Even the old folks and veterans of the old forum are missing. This post, can just be written with one kind of font, I can not find a way to change it.

Please I like the straight forward format of the old Forum, BIOS, VIDEOS, AUDIO, XP, VISTA, HARDWARE, and so.

Hiding the board doesn't make the problems go away!

With all the issues surrounding poor quality laptops (like the Studio 1535 I got from Best Buy), ability to just pass off support for their products to geek squad that makes me look smart...and so many issues with windows vista 64 bit...well its just typical Dell...deceive, ineveigle, obfuscate!

I shoulda bought a mac!
