Win XP prompts for mouse and USB hub drivers
I have a Dell Inspiron 5150, running Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3. Recently, Windows started prompting me, when booting up, to search for drivers for my mouse and USB hub. I've been using these devices for years. Now it seems that some Windows update or other is causing Windows to prompt me. I am in the habit of clicking on "Cancel" in response to the prompt. This causes Windows to warn me that my hardware might not work correctly. However, all is well and everything works fine. I just want the prompts to cease. Any ideas?

obsea,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
I am not sure what happened here but, try reinstalling the Service Pack into the system. You may also need to reinstall the chipset drivers as well.
