32bit or 64?

Did you try the Vista Ageia driver?

2 other Unknown items were found UMB\lgSSQVGA and UMB\lgssBW"

Logitech device

Use Vista drivers for the rest.

its a 64 bit installation but unfortunatly windows (Dell) Dell certified drivers from the dell site that are in the packages do not install as it see's the os and says that the OS is not Vista and not recognised and will not install.

Thanks for the logitec. i wil have to see which drivers i missed for that.

Oh and i found out that the Headset with mic using Jackplugs will not work correctly with the XPS630i. you have to get a headset that is USB. Creative have no Boost function in there driver or computer sets.

Whilst it might be recommended you download/install the drivers provided by Dell, they're not always the best option - nor indeed (in most cases) are they the most up-to-date.

You can download the latest (Windows 7 compatible) PhysX System Software drivers directly off the Nvidia website.
Similarly... if the main graphics card is also from Nvidia, you can download the latest Forceware drivers directly off the Nvidia website as well.

Problem

Motherboard chipset unknown

I was unable to identify the chipset of the motherboard. I think it is nVidia but no drivers will confirm.

Your system's documentation tells you/confirms it's a Nvidia chipset... the Nvidia nForce 650i SLI to be precise

Re the Creative drivers: The 64bit Vista drivers should work?

However... if you identify the specific card (assuming it's a dedicated soundcard?) or audio chip (if it's an on-board variant), you can again download the latest drivers for it directly off the manufacturer's website.

If you don't know where/how to find that information... there are a number of free system information (SysInfo) programs available, which will tell you all you'll ever need to know about the hardware (and often software too) in your system.

Just Google (i.e.) 'Free system information software?' or even 'Free SysInfo software', and you'll find them :emotion-5:

Great, Thanks for the information.

I didnt know that the PhysX card was Nvidia. Thanks.

The motherboard drivers didn't work as when i downloaded the nforce 650 SLI driverset it said that the motherboard wasn't recognised.

Thanks for you help
