Window 98 Error Message
Running Win 98
1)During startup I see an error message..... Error loading device NDISHLP/SYS
Error 7323
2) In checking the device mgr., I see NDis2 Driver listed with a yellow exclmation point. Two of these are listed. I tired to re-install with no luck. (Using Win98 recovery CD,the driver was not listed)
3) I ran a system check and it showed one file damaged or corupted....MSONSEXT.DLL
I cannot find this file on the Microsoft website.
I sure hope someone can help.
Thanks

Both of those files are on the Windows 98 SE CD. You can extract them using System File Checker. Go to Start|Run, type SFC and click OK. Tell SFC to extract one file from the installation disk as follows:
For NDISHLP.SYS enter the name of the file, point the extraction tool at the Win98 folder on the CD and tell SFC to place it in C:\Windows\System.
For MSONSEXT.DLL point the extraction tool at the same folder and place the extracted file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Folders.

I hate to bother you again, but I have a question.
What does the NDIS2 Driver load? The Device Mgr. still shows a yellow exclamation point. Maybe you could run through the process I need to do once again.Im still getting this error message on startup: Error 7323 one or more transport drivers failed to load. Its getting confusing.
Thanks

It is related to your Network Interface Card and I know little beyond that. You may find more knowledgeable support in the Network conference for your system.
