Window Error Recovery
I was using my computer when it adviced me to install some updates which I believe where the Service pack. So when I was installing them, the laptop was restarting and it showed a windows error recovery that states.
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer on disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next."
3. Click "Repair your computer."
Other options:
If power was interrrupted during starup, choose Start Windows Normally.
Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Last Known Good Configuration (advanced)
Start Windows Normally
Could anyone please help me out because I really dont know what to do here. I am lost.

I encountered the same problem... and am going around in circles... however since i've created a linux partition, I was eble to see the error bootlog txt file. I seems to have encountered multiple errors in some critical files in my case atleast... My question is, if i try restoring factory settings, will my ubuntu partition remain untouched? Its a pain doing every little thing all over again! HELP :smileysad:

Hey, Have you found a solution?
I am encountered this problem too after installing a operating system disc that dell gave. Should Dell Technician look at our questions and answer them as best as they can?
Anyone know please give me a solution!
Thanks
