You said you tried restore. How? From a disc or the restore partition from the hard drive? Do you have the OS disc?

Since you upgraded this might not work but: Go to "Disk Management" from the Start Button, see if the Recovery Partition is still there and healthy. If you use this it would restore the system to the state it was in when shipped. Note: You will lose all files and apps!

thanks for replying mate

yes i got the window7 installation disk and also windows vista installation disk.. as i bought my laptop in early 2009, so i was elgible for free windows 7 upgrade

i booted from  the installation disk of windows 7 and used the repair the windows option and i got the startup repair tool which cudnt fix it and i was shown the recovery tools option ,so i selected system restore and i tried few restore points .but they failed  at this point i couldnt even get in to any of the f8  options it just shows the same error (my earlier post)

update :   http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927392 i  followed these commands using the command prompt fom the system recovery tools

and i end up getting compbatt.sys error which i managed to fix and i restart my laptop and windows 7 was booting from hard disk, but still it doesnt load it just gives me blue screen after showing me the windows 7 start up  logo ,so i tried to boot thru safe mode and the last process was CLASSPNP.sys and immediatl;y  it gets restarted automatically starting the whole loop

i replaced classpnp.sys with the one from installation disk thinking that it was corrupted and still the error continues,i cant even see the bsod properly just like half a sec it shows and just goes on with restart loop

i feel my windows drivers got corrrupted just want to replace the corrupted drivers and get in to my windows 7 and back up soon and just fresh install windows 7

so please help me out

PS: windows 7 home premimum (64 bit ) is my os

Ok. You said in your first post you could boot from the OS disc. Is that still possible? Can you get to Disk Management from there?

Well, you have a couple of choices: Wait for someone who knows more than I do. Or you could reformat the hard drive and start over. This is a long holiday weekend so there hasn't been much activity lately.

Of course if you reformat everything will be lost. I guess it depends on how long you want to wait for better help than I can offer you. Even then the result MAY be the same.

Sorry I can't help you more!

yea after booting from the dvd

only two options are shown ...installation of windows 7 and repair your computer

if i go to the repair my computer option then i can see my windows 7 partition and startup repair tries to fix the issue but it says it can't automatically fix the issue so after that i get two options one is repair and diagnostics log and the other is recovery tools shown below
