Windows 8 Single Language re-installation on Vostro 2420
I have got new Vostro 2420 Laptop with pre-installed Windows 8 Single Language 64 bit (English).
I have erased all the partitions in the HDD by mistake (including recovery partition).
Is there any way I can get a Windows 8 SL re-installation media?
Please help me in this regard.
I could not even install a GENUINE windows 7 64 bit on the laptop.

Is it possible to erase the windows8 OEM Key from BIOS (by upgrading the bios)?
It is totally irritating that I'm not able to install even Windows 7 OR windows XP on my laptop.. :emotion-12:

HI Ganesh,
You will be unable to remove the product key as it is encrypted on the motherboard. Installing the Operating system shipped by Dell, the system will not prompt for the product key.

If you want to install Windows 8, you will need to contact Support in your region to have them send you a Windows 8 installation DVD.
If you want to install Windows 7, you need to first disable Secure Boot in the BIOS and enable Legacy boot options. For simplicity, you should also disable UEFI (enable BIOS) and convert your disk to MBR (done with diskpart - part of the repair options on Windows installation media).
If you want to install XP - I'd say "don't". It will no longer be supported by Microsoft (security updates, etc.) early next year, and there is a good chance that your current hardware simply is not compatible (no drivers, etc.).
