Windows Defender Error Message
Every start up I would see an error message saying:
"Application failed to initialize0x800106ba. A problem caused this program's service to stop. To start this service restart your computer or search Help and Support for how to start the service manually. "
I don't even need this Windows Defender or I don't even know what is its function. If it is an Anti Virus, I have a McAffee Antivirus. I want my laptop to stop displaying this cause it is so annoying, please help me.

Hi jillmalcibar,
this problem is due to windows defender service is stopped in the services.msc option.

That depends on the OS. It is not part of XP. The OP did not specify his/her version of Windows

Hello J Rosenfeld and Zeeshan25, you have both been very helpful. My Windows is the Vista Home edition 32 bit. It's okay if I can't remove my Windows Defender my problem is getting rid of the error message at the very least. How do I fix it so no error message would appear? Help Help!!! Thanks!
And again Zeeshan thanks for the advice about the Dell Dock.

Hello Red Dawn. This information was really helpful and thanks for sending me the link. However, I still have a problem. When I input sc WinDefend start= "disabled" it says ChangeSeviceConfig Success, BUT when I input sc stop WinDefend I got ControlService Failed1062. I don't know what that means and the same error message appears when I start my computer....I hope you can still help me out. Thanks again.

Hi again Red Dawn. I tried this new method you suggested. In the Windows Defender Properties (Local Computer) Window, my service status was already set at stop and I can't click on stop anymore for the choices, so I proceeded to Apply and OK. I rebooted my computer and it is still there, the error message. THis is driving me nuts.
