Windows OS Expiration issue

Question

Recently Windows 7 kept prompting me to let me know I was running a pre-release version of Windows 7 and that version was close to expiration.  On top of that the prompt was telling me to backup my files because the OS would shortly be unusable.  After many calls with Dell support inquiring as to why I was sold a pre-release version of Windows 7, all I was told is that I was infected with malware (exactly what malware they didn't know).  I insisted that it was not malware, but they were relentless.  After giving up on Dell support, I went out on my own search for the solution.  It turned out that I had a beta version of Windows 7 SP1 installed.  After removing the service pack, my system was back to normal.  Hopefully this will help others who encounter the same issue.
