Windows XP - Unmountable Boot Volume
When booting with Windows XP SP2 installed, I get a blue screen with "unmountable_boot_volume" displayed. I have run hardware diagnostics with no results. I can't get the system to boot from my XP CD so I can't run configuration tests from that environment. any suggestions??

I have been able to repair my existing hard drive so I won't be requiring a replacement drive. For your information, one of my problems was the inability to boot from my CD ROM drive. It turned out that the BIOS Sequence was seeing two drives, a CD ROM drive and my C drive. In fact, I have three drives, a DVD, a CD, and a hard drive (C). The BIOS was recognizing my DVD as the CD ROM drive. So, by putting my bootable Windows XP CD into the DVD drive, I was able to boot from the Windows CD and repair the damage.
