Windows XP professional. OleAut32.dll file missing.
I have Win. XP Professional and Win.2000 on this computer. Win. xp will not let me into the program.Message reads: Application failed to start because OleAut32.dll file was not found.Re-installing the application may fix the problem. How do you reinstall the dll file if you can't get into the program? New at this stuff. Help!

What application are you unable to start? Oleaut32.dll is a system file and if it is missing in Windows XP you can reinstall it into its default location (C:\Windows\system32) by running System File Checker. Go to Start|Run, type sfc /scannow and click OK. You may be prompted to insert your XP Reinstallation CD.
