I've tried the solution listed, however, when the Recovery Console starts and I select the repair option, I am not asked for a password. Only the root directory is displayed C:\ and I cannot access the Windows directory. I keep receiving the "Access is denied" error message. I cannot change or create directories from the Recovery Console so I cannot complete the steps in the solution. I need to know why or how to get the Recovery Console to give me access to the Windows directory. I cannot find any information on what to do when the Recovery Console behaves in this manner. Any suggestions?
