Windows system error- IP adrees conflict with another system on network

I am connected through a LAN and have a window popping up fomr the task bar that says there is a conflict with the Ip adress with another system on the network. I do not know how to fix the problem, but i have recently set up another computer for the internet that is connected through the same Lan.
I am asking for assistance. my e-mail is mensh@myway.com if you would like to see a small screenshot (313x102pixels)of the message that shows on the taskbar

The bold IP Address is your machine's IP. If you use DHCP (dynamic configuration), type IPCONFIG /RENEW on the command prompt. That should renew your IP. If you do manual IP, find out which machine is using the same IP address. Change it.

Click on the START button (lower left hand corner)
Click on RUN from the pop up window.
Type your Commands in the little window and there you go!

BTW, I'm have the SAME IP address conflict Error show up on my LAN setup. I'm going to try the fix above and see what happens....
