This can be caused by a default template that has somehow become corrupted. You may want to try deleting the default template and let Word Perfect create a new one.
open Windows Explorer click on the Tools Menu Select Folder Options Click on the View tab Select Show hidden files and folders Click OK
Delete or rename the default template wp11us.wpt located in
C:\Documents and Settings\�user name�\Application Data\Corel\PerfectExpert\11\Custom WP Templates\WP11US.WPT
Start Word Perfect to have it create a new default template.
